PROTAK Protak is a name that has been about for a couple of years now and I have to say that if it is value for money products which you are looking for, then their range takes some beating. Ideal for this time of year are Protak's nylon overtrousers, which sell for a no nonsense £18.99. They are functional, and practical, with decent length side zips to cover wellingtons or moon boots. A body warmer, or waistcoat as most people call them, is another comfortable idea for Summer fishing when a full-blown jacket can be a bit much. Protak's excellent bodywarmer sells for £29.80 and for me it is a practical bit of clothing. On the luggage front the kit I've been impressed with is Protak's TH7 Matchmah Holdall, which takes seven tubes plus some more. At £27.49 against a RRP of £39.95, it has to be good value. And Protak's TC1 Carryall, with ample side pockets which will comfortably carry jumbo bait riddles, canal platforms and the usual unnecessary paraphernalia that the average matchman insists on carrying to his peg is equally impressive. At £20.49 you will be hard pushed to beat these prices elsewhere |
| No bull, Protak's products are well made and very keenly priced. Don't say I didn't tell you. Review by Alan Barnes. |
